Basket with insert

Post

We love simple and nice ideas for a quick refreshing of the apartment.

Today is really an easy tutorial on cart inserts, damaged boxes or plain cardboard.

After seeing this movie you will find that it is not a complicated one, and an additional description will help you through all stages.

You will need:

  • jacquard fabric

  • scissors

  • sewing machine

  • tape measure

  • ribbon

First step

Measure the circumference of the basket on the outside. Then measure the width and length of the bottom of the basket. Another dimension is the height of the basket enlarged by rolling out. Then cut two pieces of fabric to the given size. One piece is the bottom up with 2-3 cm of stock. The second piece is the sides of the pad for a length equal to the circumference of the basket and the width equal to the height + roll.

Pay attention to the direction of the pattern.

Second step

Staple two shorter sides of a larger piece of cloth and then bottom to one side.

If you want to try hiding the edges, you can do it by sewing the bottom to the left side to the left and then turning the basket right in. Now sew the edges "in" into the resulting rim.

Third step

Cut the yarn and strip the edges with zigzag.

Fourth step

Thanks to the fact that we have saved a lace that will protect us from shredding, we can only tuck the fabric down once. This will allow us to avoid thickening at the staple. Upholstery can be sewn with an ornamental stitch or used as a tunnel for inserting decorative bows or twine.
